APACHE ARMY 1.28.2011 SHOW REVIEW

Shin-kiba 1st RING
Attendance: 238

KINTARO KANEMURA vs. YUKI SATO
What a weird start to this. Sato did a top rope dropkick to the back of Kanemura, sending Mr. Grabby hands to the outside. Sato then did a front flip over the top rope to the floor onto Kanemura, and followed it up by  running off the apron and hitting a hurricanrana on the outside. Kanemura sells this by getting up and taking control of the match immediately. LAME. He acts like he physically can't do anything when Sato is on offense, but he looks more than capable when he's hitting his stuff. Lazy match that was made watchable by Sato's bumping.

ARASHI & APACHE OZAKI vs.TOMOHIKIO HASHIMOTO & TOMOHIRO WAKI
"Is there a doctor in the house? I think this show is flat-lining."
Sooooo bad. Waki had like 4 guys in the crowd that were fans and they kept trying to rally the crowd around him, but he stunk. It felt like people pretending to be WWE wrestlers with no context to why they do certain things, they just do them.

ROCKY TITLE MATCH
SHINJUKU SHARK vs. KIKUTARO
Pretty aimless comedy match. Kikutaro didn't even seem to be trying, even though he still got some laughs. This crowd is pretty dead.

TOMOHIKO HASHIMOTO &APACHE KOZAKI  vs.KOHEI SATO & KENICHI YAMAMOTO
Kohei Sato would come in for a minute, kick the crap out of someone and then leave. Then we're left with Yamamato teabagging Kozaki and slapping him in the face. And poor Kozaki. I guess his job is to just stay in the ring and let these guys look tough and never tag out, while fat Hashimoto stands on the apron in his sleaveless shirt farting around. They can't build any heat to get Kozaki out of the ring because he has ample opportunity to get out, he just doesn't. And the plants in the crowd trying to cheer on Kozaki like he's a face in peril only further illustrate how poorly this match is executed. Sato was completely wasted in this and he wrestled like he knew that. Wouldn't mind seeing Kozaki wrestle anywhere else against anybody else, though.

MASATO TANAKA vs.TETSUHIRO KURODA
The first half was Tanaka totally owning Kuroda's leg. I really liked it because he was ruthless in it. But what drives me nuts is that it meant absolutely nothing. It was just padding to stretch this match out to 16 minutes. The last 5-6 minutes were fine, but the crowd didn't seem to care and neither did I. I couldn't get behind the nearfalls because none of them fooled me. Just a weak performance here.

OVERALL SHOW THOUGHTS
This stunk.
